We are experiencing severe flooding and numerous road closures around Brisbane. Although we are not directly effected by flooding there are numerous road closures in this area due to flooding and trees down so no orders will be posted today (Monday, 10th March).
I will however be packing and filling orders today and expect to post out all orders received since Wednesday, 5th March tomorrow (Tuesday, 11th March).
Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!
Ultramarine Violet (liquid)
Ultramarine Violet liquid colourant is a pigment that has been suspended in vegetable glycerine. This product is a deep, violet purple shade of colour and is a cosmetic grade colourant that is stable and non-bleeding in soap.
Add colour to your base drop-by-drop. Adding more drops will produce a darker colour. If your soap bubbles are not white you have used too much colour. Adding this colour to white M&P soap base will produce a pastel coloured bar of soap.
INCI: Glycerine, Ultramarine CI 77007
Usage rate: 15ml will colour approximately 5kg of soap for a medium shade. Recommended usage rate is roughly 6 drops per 100g.
Product Suitability:
Melt and Pour Soap: Yes
CP soap: Yes
Lip Products: No
Cosmetics: Yes
Not suitable for oil based products such as lotions and creams.
Not Suitable for Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars and Bath Salts as it can cause staining.
Performance results:
Colour: Produces a violet blue at full strength in clear melt & pour soap base and a pastel mauve colour in opaque (white) melt & pour soap base. In CP soap you really need to colour at full strength to achieve a nice lavender shade. If you don`t add enough colour it is likely to disappear.
Solubility: dispersible in water so suitable for water based products such as soap. Not suitable for oil based products such as lotions and creams.
Product pH: Stable in products with a high pH so it will not change / morph in cp soap.
Colour Fading: This colour is not sensitive to light so will not fade in your soap.
Colour Migration: This colourant is non-bleeding so is suitable for making soap with layered colours or embeds as it will not migrate or “bleed†between the layers.
