Titanium Dioxide (liquid)

Our Titanium Dioxide liquid colourant is a pigment that has been suspended in vegetable glycerine. This product is a very good choice for whitening clear soap, or for lightening up a soap darkened by fragrances or other additives. It is a cosmetic grade colourant that is stable and non-bleeding in soap.

INCI: Glycerine, titanium dioxide

Usage rate: 30ml will colour approximately 10kg of soap for a medium shade. Recommended usage rate is roughly 6 drops per 100g.

Product Suitability:
Melt and Pour Soap: Yes
CP soap: Yes
Not suitable for oil based products such as lotions and creams.
Not Suitable for Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars and Bath Salts as it can cause staining.

Performance results:

Colour: If using in CP soap the addition of this pigment will whiten the soap batter when working with oils that make the batter yellow. In CP it will also lessen discolouration effects of Vanilla based scents, but does not stop this completely. Don't over use in CP or the soap can become chalky and even have crackly clear streaks
Solubility: dispersible in water so suitable for water based products such as soap. Not suitable for oil based products such as lotions and creams.
Product pH: Stable in products with a high pH so it will not change / morph in cp soap.
Colour Fading: This colour is not sensitive to light so will not fade in your soap.
Colour Migration: This colourant is non-bleeding so is suitable for making soap with layered colours or embeds as it will not migrate or “bleed” between the layers.
