Celestial Dye - Fuschia (liquid)

Liquid cosmetic grade dyes for use in cold-process soaps, melt & pour, and skincare products. The Celestial Dyes are FD&C and D&C dyes that have been mixed with distilled water and a preservative (liquid Germall plus).

Stick blend the colour to ensure you get a more thorough mix. If you are colouring a swirl, add the colour to your swirl portion when it is at a light trace. Add one or two drops at a time and then zap it with the stick blender. Please note: Certain colours look almost muddy or grey when first mixed into the soap, even at a high percentage, but after 24 hours they become bright vivid colours. Because of this, many people have a tendency to over colour their soap and end up using more colour than necessary or end up with a much more vivid colour than they originally intended.

Usage rate: For a strong colour the recommended starting point is 5 drops per 100g in CP soap.

Cosmetics: Yes. Can be used in bath and body products such as shampoos, shower gel etc.
Not suitable for oil based products.

Performance results:

Colour: A red with a pinkish-violet tint. Depending on how much you use you can achieve colours ranging from pink to purplish red. The image shows one of the darker shades achieved in cp soap.
Solubility: dispersible in water so suitable for water based products such as soap and bath products. Not suitable for oil based products.
Product pH: Stable in products with a high pH so it will not change / morph in cp soap.
Colour Fading: This colour is light sensitive so you should keep this product away from direct sunlight and consider using a uv inhibitor.
Colour Migration: My suppliers tells me that this product will not bleed in CP soap but testing is being completed to test this to be sure. In M&P soap this colourant will bleed so it is NOT suitable for making soap with layered colours or embeds as it will migrate or “bleed” between the layers.
